But what they do whilst they ask me this question, is what I find the most interesting. They touch their face with the palm of their hands and in the very area that they are having the most frequent breakouts. It’s in this action that I have to consider that some of their skin issues could very well be related to that simple act. I catch so many people doing it that it can’t be a coincidence. How is it that almost every time people tell me they have problems with their skin, they automatically start rubbing their face with dirty hands? And then when I point it out to them, it’s as if they had just blanked out for a moment. They usually don’t even realize that they’re doing it. This tells me two things, either they don’t even realize the impact this has on their breakouts and/or that they likely do it so often they don’t even know that they’re doing it.
So first things first, let’s all take the time to examine our skin care habits and routines.
